Parabola welcomes Council Leader to 1 New Park Square

Parabola, the award-winning developer of the new city quarter at Edinburgh Park, welcomed Cllr Cammy Day, Leader, City of Edinburgh Council to tour its first completed office building 1 New Park Square (1NPS). The innovative building, by a new civic square and neighbouring new sports and leisure facilities, and boasting renowned artworks in a parkland setting is the first new office development in the west of Edinburgh in two decades.

1NPS was designed by Stirling prize winning architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris is adjacent to a bustling public square. 1NPS is home to the latest bakery, café/bar-restaurant and performance space which is run by Patina. Featuring a bar, 260-cover restaurant, artisan bakery and live music venue, Patina has been brought to Edinburgh by the successful team behind Newcastle’s Kiln café in Ouseburn.

1NPS offers conference facilities and a stunning multifunctional venue which is transforming the Edinburgh’s west side, with an unrivalled all-day dining destination like no other.

Parabola first discussed its plans with Cllr Day when he was deputy leader of the council and he has visited Parabola’s first innovative development at King’s Place in London to see first-hand how the exemplary place making has rejuvenated this corner of the city.
